When working on ideas, it’s best to always start them as early as possible because the time when we don’t really think about them are the time when the quality will be great.
As we started making the first draft, idle mode could be just playing with it with no purpose but to just feel it, the more we get expose to the model, the more we build the understanding.
Idle mode does not mean we stop working on it, it means putting the work floating on top of our mind so that when we find something interesting, we immediately pull that up and try to connect the model, or the thing we usually refer to; connecting the dots.
It’s best to keep our mind surrounded with fresh perspectives, it could be someone dropping a new design exploration, a writing where you could extract the principles and store them as a (temporary, most of the time) thinking model, or an entertainment stuff with unique concept that brings new way of creative thinking.
